From Jamie M on 7/21/2013 – “Great experience. Extremely nice people and very accommodating. I called two days before coming into town for a wedding and the Sue hooked me up with a bike, transportation, trail maps, helmet, trail recommendations…everything I needed. Great equipment too. Bill diligently walked me though the the details of the bike and everything worked beautifully. Phenomenal ride down the mountain to Lithia Park. I highly recommend this service.”
From Brian H on 6/22/2011 – “Wild Bill and Sue provided excellent shuttle services to the top of Mt. Ashland. The trails back down to Lithia Park are world class and well worth the price of the ride.
I’ve been coming to Ashland to ride the epic trails for 5 years now and hope to be back for many more.
I highly recommend riding with Ashland Mt. Adventures.”
From Taylor T on 10/27/2009 – “Having ridden all over the country, I have luckily been able to include Ashland in my “adventures”. When I found out that there was a shuttle service to take me to the top of a 7000′ summit and pick me up at the bottom, I jumped at the chance to book my shuttle times. I didn’t even know where Ashland was when I drove from Central California, but Sue and Bill gave me awesome directions that put me right at their shop! Not only did I get to the shop, which is perfectly located off of I-5 in Ashland, I also was recommended to a super nice hotel (for the money), a great little cafe to have coffe in the morning and tons of sights to see. Really, I didn’t even bring a helmet or a bike or anything. Just me and a little money.
By the time the first shuttle left the shop, Bill had me on one of his sweet full suspension bikes, a helmet to wear, gloves and shin guards as well. I was set up! At first, I thought because I was solo, and had no clue where I was going, that I would be lost instantly. I really didn’t expect to get a tour of the place from the great people I met on the shuttle ride up the hill…
As for the trails in the area, they range in skill level from full-on downhiller with some gnarly hits to mellow single track winding through the pine forest. It was easy to notice that the locals take very good care of their trails, and it was all to our benefit!
My very favorite of all the trails I had ridden all weekend was Time Warp and definitely BTI makes it close second. It had just rained in Ashland and my bike was riding like it was on rails, I could do no wrong!!
After the first descent, I reached the bottom, flew through Lithia Park (a major historical landmark in the town) and right to a cup of coffee and a bagel at the nearest coffee shop/cart in downtown. I had plenty of time to mingle with the locals while I waited for Bill to show up at the meeting point, the town skate park, for the next run!
All in all, I did three drops totaling over 50 miles ridden in one day, nearly 15,000 vertical feet of elevation drop and an ear to ear grin the whole time.
Enough said, Bill and Sue made me feel like a true friend and writing this is the least I can do to show my support for such a great weekend on the trail and such a great bunch of people. I am looking forward to the next time I am in Ashland to enjoy the majetic views of the Volcanic Legacy as there is nowhere better to do this in my opinion… Oh, and ride bikes too…”
From Lori G on 9/4/2008 – “Recently on my first trip to Ashland, a group of us mountain bikers used Ashland Mountain Adventures as our shuttle service up Mt. Ashland.
Bill and Sue are great people and they know the mountain. They can also tell you which trails you are cut out for depending on your skill-level (I’m beginner-intermediate on trails). Of course, it is up to you when you need to walk your bike or decide which way you actually feel comfortable with getting down the mountain. Map-reading skills might come in handy.
They have group rates, and reservations need to be made for their shuttles.
Wonderful scenery. Wonderful people. Wonderful service.”
