Why should I use your shuttle instead of driving our vehicle?
The Ashland Mountain Adventures shuttles benefit not only the riders but helps preserve our local haven. Riders will save gas money and wear & tear on their personal vehicles. As downhillers know, it’s a bummer that every ride is minus the rider who got stuck driving the car back to the mountain top. With our shuttles, no riders have to miss a ride from being the designated driver. Instead of driving separately to the mountain with multiple cars, our shuttles help reduce emissions that contribute to global warming by consolidating groups of riders and hikers to create a fun shuttle service. Riding our shuttle also has great potential for riders to meet new riders that can help find new lines in the area or with bike handling skills. Use of the AMA shuttle also contributes to trail stewardship. We will be working on setting up a trail maintenance program in the spring of 2008, which will preserve the trails we use week in and week out. Oh yeah, have a great time while being driven to your location with an ipod adpater, cd player, 2 Rockford Fosgate 12′s, and 1000 watts of juice to get you pumped on your next ride.

Do I have to be an experienced rider to use your service?
Yes, you should have reasonable mt. bike experience and an understanding of your equipment. However there are trails from the top that will suit both a beginning downhiller, to classic alpine descents in rocks, ruts, log offs & pristine single track to excite even the most skilled of rider! Our shuttle drivers are local, avid mountain bike riders that know the trails in Ashland like the back of our shifters! We can easily offer solutions to less experienced riders who would just like to enjoy the beauty the Ashland mountains have to offer.

What type of bikes are available for rent?
We currently carry the 2008 Specialized line-up of mountain bikes. To see the current bikes available and pricing, check out the pricing page.

If I bring my own shoes, can you put clipless pedals on my rental bike for me?
Yes! Ashland Mountain Adventures will do as much as possible to accomodate your needs. We will always have spare pedals in stock in case these situations arise.

I am coming from out of town, do you provide accomodations?
We do not provide accomodations but we have a wide range of hotel recommendations that are in or around Ashland.

What hours are the shuttles available?
Ashland Mountain Adventures has normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm 7 days a week. Shuttles operate on a first come first serve basis. The first rider or group to call will get a spot on our shuttle within the hour. We can run up to 5 shuttles per day to Mt. Ashland so there will be plenty of availability, feel free to give us a call!

How long are the trails?
Every trail is different, generally the more technical trails are longer than the beginner trails but stop by our shop and we’ll be happy to give you a trail map.

Can I purchase a gift certificate for my son?
We sell gift certificates for individual or consecutive shuttles. There is also a season pass available which gives a rider 20 or more rides to the top of Mt. Ashland for $200. If you can ride this hill more than 20 times you get to ride for free!

What is your cancellation policy?
Although there are no fees, we ask our customers to cancel within 48 hours to help accomodate other shuttle users.
